Letter to the Committee of General Safety (Department of the Haute- Loire, District of Brioude) [manuscript], 1794 October 17.

Madame de Lafayette appeals to the Committee for justice, maintaining that there was no motive for her arrest and that her certificate of good citzenship proves her innocence. She requests deportation to the United States and mentions in a marginal note the execution of her grandmother, mother and sister the previous July.
